Hi again, Oh my 2017 really has whipped by. Only 10 more days to Christmas, hope you are closer to being ready!

This post, the last for 2017 was probably my all time favorite since starting on this design team. I love coloring red.

December 1, 2017. It is so hard to beleive that this year is almost over. And that means that Christmas is just around the corner! Have you started shopping yet? I am wayyy behind!

November is a Thank you theme

Hello everyone!  Welcome back to another installment    for Paper Butterflies. Here in Ontario we had such a wet summer, that we enjoyed the beautiful weather we were afforded in September and October!

November's theme is Thank you and there was sooooo many different things I could have done, so I have chosen this lovely Queen sitting on a sunflower (one of my favorite flowers) to color up for you today. 

In this entry, I colored the imaged with copic markers, but I also used some techniques that I learned at a watercolor class I recently took. 

These are the copic colors I used: 

HAIR: E15,YR23, YR24, Y21
BOW & SHIRT RV69, RV63, RV55
SKIN: E0000, E00, E08,E11,E21
PANTS: B95,B93,B91
SUNFLOWERS: R29, YR07, Y38, Y35,Y19

LEAVES: G94, YG11, YG13
TREE TRUNK: E09, E11,E15

It took me a long time to get the colors and coloring right but in the end I was happy with the end result.

Well summer is almost "officially over". It was really cool, which was ok for me, cause I don't like the heat. But back to My Besties. I chose this image, In the Cherry Pie IMG664

But I really struggled with the cherry's.  I learned through one of my Kit and Clowder classes, how to color reds that come out differently with shadows and I love it. But the cherries were all mushed together, so it was hard to color them in order to make them stand out. I did the best that I could, but I need to practice. The reds are done in C3, R56 OR R89, R29 AND R22. Practice, practice practice! See you in 2......................

Its a blog AND a journal, great idea!!

So I guess if nothing else I am going to use my blog as a sort of coloring journal for myself. It will track of what I've done and how I've improved over the years and help me keep track of what I've done. So today I have whipped up this little cuttie for my August 1, beach theme card!  I was really proud of myself, I was able to complete this card on the first try!! It's that time Again!

So here\s the next in My Besties Design Team series.  How cute is this.  I am pretty excited I just ordered a few of the coloring books, imagine, each book for 25 images!!! I could just color them all day!  I just love this stamp line. So here she is!! I call her Penny, no reason, just cause!!

Happy Canada 150 Everyone!!

If I had any foresight, I would have created my July 1, 2017 DT card with a Canada Day flair, but atlas, I did not, so I thought it was at least worth mentioning!!
Before I get to my card I just wanted to shared with those that don't know that today, July 1, 2017 is Canada's 150th birthday!!

Mid June's DT Card!!

Hi Everyone, I'm back with my mid June DT card for Color it, Create it Show it off! I colored this card in Sault Ste Marie while visiting a friend, so this is a well traveled card!!

Hi everyone! Happy spring! Its about time that we can finally start to enjoy our weather and lose those winter coats, So this is my first attempt at Steampunk,This is a Sherry Ann Baldy image # 131. It was a lot of fun to do although I found it challenging! I do think he reminds me of a certain singer that I really liked in my youth. Soooo adorable.  Hope you enjoy him too!!

I am the Newest member of the Color It! Create It! Show it Off! Design Team and I couldn't be more excited! I am posting my first card and I must say I am very proud of how it turned out.  

I know I haven't written here for a long time and I will be on much more frequently so you can all follow my progress, but I have been takng courses and learning new techniques in coloring.
